Zekeriyaköy villa — walnut kitchen and larder

Floor-to-ceiling walnut tall units, a 3.2 m island and a hidden larder door. Fridge and oven columns sit on one joint line.

The owners are a family who love long tables. Their brief was clear: no appliances on show and an island that works for both prep and breakfast. So we designed an appliance cupboard with pocket doors for the coffee machine, microwave and small appliances.

The walnut veneer comes from a single log and was laid in sequence, so the grain runs uninterrupted across the tall-unit doors and the larder door. The island top is 20 mm calacatta-look quartz, mitred at 45° to read as 60 mm.
