Ümitköy house — black kitchen with slatted island

Matt anthracite lacquered wall units and an island wrapped in solid oak slats; handleless fronts on recessed rails.

The island slats are 28 × 40 mm solid oak with a 12 mm gap and black felt behind. The island doubles as the children’s homework desk, so the top is 12 mm compact laminate.
